$ 34,625

Although not the fastest or the most efficient of the invited infants, Q3 calmer and had a better trip than the competition. Powered by a 200-hp, 2.0-liter turbo four mated to an automatic, six-speed front-wheel drive is standard, and of course, the Quattro is optional. Q3 offers standard HID lamps, LED taillamps, electric heated leather seats, and a panoramic sunroof. Sport and Prestige package as well as the MMI nav, lane-change assist, power liftgate, and a Bose audio is available, too. 2015 Audi Q3 2.0T QuattroAfter nearly three years sold in other markets, the Audi Q3 has finally come to America. Although not quite identical with Q3 sold elsewhere (we have a six-speed torque-converter automatic in a dual-clutch gearbox is used in other countries, for example), Q3 offers a lot of the same goodness of Q5 and Q7, in shrink, the size of the mini- ute.Slotting below the Q5, Q3 establishes a new entry point for the Audi sport-utes in the United States, giving the brand a competitor to the Mercedes-Benz GLA and BMW X1. Although relative of the Volkswagen Tiguan, chassis Q3 has more aluminum and high strength steel of VW colleagues. It does not, however, avail themselves of the latest MQB architecture that underlies the latest Audi A3 -which would have to wait for the second generation Q3.Price Versus ValueThe sample base price of four-wheel-drive we are $ 35,525, which sounds like a lot for a small car, but the interior appointments, design, and feel all top-notch. Genuine leather seats come standard, and the Audi Q3 gets MMI version ($ 1900 with navigation), infotainment interface which sets the bar high for such a system, at least for now.
Put that figure in context, we see that the version of four-wheel-drive BMW X1 starting around $ 2,000 lower, but, as we learned with our long-term X1 xDrive28i, model quickly became more expensive by choice. The Benz offers ranging $ 1,300 less than Q3, but does not have a dual-zone climate control, xenon headlights, heated seats and a panoramic sunroof that is standard in Q3. Add them to the GLA push prices several hundred dollars above $ 38,625 as tested our Q3 figure, which also comes with navigation, 19-inch wheels, and an electric hatch.Style, Space, Speed (or lack thereof)At first glance, Q3 looks almost identical to the Q5. Without anything to put a smaller size in perspective, one could easily mistake it for its larger sibling. Open one of the doors or hatches, however, and a small interior clear. The driver and passenger space is more than sufficient, but higher front seat occupants will be forced encroachment on the second row legroom. And a rear cargo rather shallow. Despite its small size, however, Q3 gives high driving position that so many buyers want.
Q3, such as the Tiguan, is not all that fast off the line. In fact, X1 and GLA finish second quarter mile faster than Q3. Passing time Audi also slower by a good margin. It came down to simple physics: The Q3, with 200 horsepower, is the most powerful of the trio of Germany and the second-heaviest. Plus, the torque converter does not start nearly as hastily eight-speed automatic ZF X1 or dual-clutch transmission this GLA. Credit smooth torque delivery of the 2.0-liter, which peaks at 207 pounds-ft at 1700 rpm, to make Q3 feel faster than it actually is.According to the EPA, Q3 Quattro is the most efficient of all four-wheel-drive mini-utes come from Europe, with a combined rating of 23 mpg. It was a 3-mpg worse than the combined scores X1 xDrive and 4-mpg less than GLA250 4MATIC. We saw 22 mpg overall.Q3 may not be the fastest or the most efficient members of the baby-ute class, but it was quieter than the Tiguan and ride better than Mercedes and BMW. It was down the street without Flinty suspension behavior resulting from efforts to become sportier than it should. If it is a baby ute luxury you seek, there is no reason to calculate Q3 period.Article source: http://www.caranddriver.com/audi/q3

Audi Q3 review

The Audi Q3 offers small premium SUV sector that is growing and can calculate the Range Rover Evoque, BMW X1 and Mercedes GLA as a rival.A smaller version of the Audi Q5, Q3 using the previous generation of the Audi A3 as the foundation and now comes with looks fresh facelift that focuses on the nose fixed, cleaned-up the rear and additional equipment.Features three trim levels - SE, S line and S line Plus - and all were well equipped. Audi offers a large number of optional kit and Q3s customers can be personalized via the Audi Exclusive program - both of which can prove rather costly, however.Figure 9 of 19All engines have been enhanced for improved fuel efficiency greater (up 13.5 percent) and being friendly to the environment. There are two petrols: two-wheel drive 148bhp 1.4-liter with technology cylinder-on-demand all-wheel drive and a 178bhp 2.0-liter. Meanwhile, form the diesel line-up is the 148bhp 2.0-liter TDI with either two or four-wheel drive and a high-powered 182bhp version. All engines come with a choice of six-speed manual or seven-speed S tronic gearbox Audi (1,4-gasoline had a six-speed S tronic box ', though) - in spite of the high performance RS Q3 model, which is only equipped with the auto option. By the way, have a hot RS upgrade package now 28bhp and 335bhp.With the latest facelift, Audi hopes to continue the success of the current Q3 - the company has sold 400,000 units globally since its launch in 2011.Our choice: Q3 2.0 TDI SE (177) quattro S tronicStyling3.5Audi master of display companies, and Q3 have been given sufficient revision updated to keep in line with the brand new design direction. Overall profile has not changed, and the biggest update is reserved for the nose. There are more angular design for large grille, and it finished with satin silver trim that integrates with the front, giving an appearance similar to Q3 Q7 will come. However, if you go for white or silver bodywork, new trim does not stand out.The fully featured slim light housing LED lights on S line models, while the SE has xenons. Elsewhere, SE cars get 17-inch wheels and S line adds 18-inch rims. There are a variety of optional designs, as well, and our car performed chunky 19-inch wheels (£ 595) which add interest to the overall look of this Q3.At the rear, the S cars feature flame indicator lines - borrowed from Audi premium model - but other than that, you would be hard pressed to distinguish Q3 updated from its predecessor.

Picture 8 of 19It's the same story inside, as the layout is largely unchanged. All cars have screens that appear manually from the top of the dashboard. But while the build quality can not be faulted, the layout is not easy to get along with as in some of the new Audi models. It uses a more compact Q3 MMI cabin control system that is also found in the supermini A1. Controller and the small play button shortcut installed just below the air vents, but they are a bit of reach for the driver, and the system is not intuitive to use as a full-size found in Audi's MMI control the other. Control the air-con was also a bit fiddly, because they are mounted low on the back gearlever.Audi MMI integrated entertainment system is also very easy to use and generally, the Audi Q3 is very well equipped. 'Go' SE trim cars come with start / stop technology, 17-inch alloys, climate control, automatic wipers and lights, rear parking sensors, cruise control, Bluetooth connectivity and a 6.5-inch screen as standard.
Picture 3 of 19If you opt for a more sports-oriented Audi Q3 S line models, you also get 18-inch alloys, it is 20mm lower suspension, front sports seats embossed with the S line Audi logo, aluminum interior inlays, power tailgate, rolling indicator, xenon lamps and sports front and rear bumpers. S line Plus trim Audi Q3 gets 19-inch wheels, Alcantara seats S line embossing, privacy glass and cruise control. There are a few quirks with the interior of the Audi Q3, though. The driving position is high-set provides a good view of the road and a comfortable sport seats. Bus-like steering wheel angle also feels strange and cabin design is showing its age - it contrasts with the minimalist dashboard Audi A3 for example.RS Q3 gets everywhere honeycomb grille found on all Audi RS models, and other decoration to let others know you are driving the most powerful model in the range of Q3.Driving3.9Standard (non-RS) Audi Q3 models are available with either a 1.4-liter or 2.0-liter engine. Our choice is either 182bhp powerplant Unit 2.0-liter TDI diesel (no less powerful 148bhp version) because it offers the best combination of performance and fuel efficiency in the range of Q3 thanks to a combined 51.4mpg economy and 7.9s 0- 62mph time (when the 'automatic box S tronic equipped). CO2 emissions are also quite low at 143g / km.1.4 TFSI engine with cylinder technology-on-demand is a new addition to the line-up and the unit is really smooth and strong. It also offers fuel economy and CO2 emissions are actually similar to the diesel variants (47.9mpg, 136g / km). Plus, because the gasoline cars are responsible for less tax car company, it is a good choice for company car buyers.

Figure 6 of 19Thanks to the strong grip and decent body control, the Audi Q3 car-like feel agile and quiet. Better yet, a combination of compact size, excellent visibility and control well-weighted help inspire confidence when threading down streets and winding city streets crowded. The standard Drive Select system allows the driver to adjust the steering weight and throttle response - it was the best remaining in normal mode, because it makes the steering feel artificially heavy in Sport. However, the sharp handling of this comes at a price: as other compact SUV, the Audi Q3 and the company suffered a low speed agitated ride. We would recommend forking out for adaptive dampers, which gives a more supple ride.
Figure 7 out of 19Both gearbox found in the Audi Q3, twin-clutch S tronic automatic and standard six-speed manual, very good. When you put your foot down on the Audi Q3 RS, turbo gives loud roar and exhaust race inspired exhaust note. With 335bhp together on all four wheels thanks to quattro system Audi Q3 RS can sprint from 0-62mph in just 4.8 seconds.Reliability4.2Since this is a minor makeover, you can expect the Q3 reliable. It was the highest placed Audi driver in Southwestern our 2015 survey, finishing 14th overall, and the SUV was placed third in our poll. Owner praised the build quality and ease of use, with the only criticism about the practicality and operational costs.Q3 use a lot of solid material and feels like it's built to last. It also comes with a three year, 60,000 mile warranty and three year RAC breakdown cover, which should help keep the minimum bill.Despite its age, the Audi A3 was awarded a five-star Euro NCAP crash rating, as well as 94 and 85 percent respectively for adult and child occupant protection, the Audi Q3 should prove to be very safe as well. Six airbags and electronic stability control comes as standard and there are a lot of safety equipment in the list of choices such as blind spot monitoring, and Speed Limit Display and Active Lane Assist, which helps to maintain the position of the vehicle in the lane. Furthermore the range, the S line models feature Xenon headlights as standard.Practicality3.7Thanks to a more upright body, the Audi Q3 is a more practical choice than the Range Rover Evoque. The world does not boot at 460 liters crossover class, but Audi has replaced the fixed parcel shelf with cover rolling load to improve access. You also get the tailgate is supported on models higher-spec, which opened wide and leave the burden of flat lips. Picture 5 of 19One criticism leveled at Audi Q3 can be found while boot space expands to 1,325 liters, rear seats do not fold completely flat sliding it so that in-and-out is unnecessarily difficult. However, if you need to carry stuff again, Audi offers a folding front passenger seat as an option in Q3.In terms of passenger comfort, adults still need to be comfortable, while the high roof line and larger side windows help cabins Q3 is bright and airy feel. He also has a lot of practical storage space, including large cup-holders and a wide door bins.Running Costs3.9The most economical Audi Q3 is the 2.0-liter TDI diesel with 148bhp. When mated to a manual gearbox and front-wheel-drive, Q3 will return 61.4mpg combined cycle and 119g / km CO2.If you choose to quattro system of four-wheel-drive with this machine, it increases the emissions to 131g / km and combined cycle figure came to 56.5 mpg. Regardless of Q3 RS, 2.0 TFSI quattro with four wheels is the most powerful Q3 in the range, but has a relatively poorer economies combined 42.8mpg and 152g / km. Predictably, RS Q3 quickly had bad fuel economy with a combined cycle 32.8mpg and 203g / km CO2.1.4 TFSI COD (cylinder-on-demand) is a good compromise, boasting 47.9mpg and 136g / km.Fortunately, Audi tend to hold their value well, so expect Q3 to have a good residual and do not depreciate as much as some of its competitors.Article source: http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/Audi/Q3

Article source; http://usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/cars-trucks/Audi_Q5/

Audi Q5 is an upscale compact SUV designed to compete with models such as the BMW X3, Range Rover Evoque and Porsche Macan.
Launched in 2009 and facelifted in 2012, Q5 features a perfect build quality, upscale interior and a decent driving dynamics. All models feature Audi's trademark quattro four-wheel drive system as standard, but the Q5 feels more at home on the road rather than looking around in the muddy tracks.
There is a choice of three engines - two diesel and one petrol - but each is available in countries aligned behind. The 2.0-liter TDI 148bhp diesel can be had with or 175bhp, while there 178bhp and 222bhp versions of the 2.0-liter TFSI petrol. At the top of the range is the 3.0-liter V6 TDI diesel that gets 241bhp or 309bhp in standard guise in SQ5 twin turbo.
All versions of the Q5 is composed and capable on the road, with a strong grip, decent body control and good-weighted steering. Permanent four-wheel drive transmission also provides a confidence-inspiring grip, even in slippery conditions. S line models suffer from a travel company, but stiffer suspension set-up can be changed to soft SE arrangements at no extra cost. Constriction good, too.
Like all Audi models, the Q5 benefits of the interior is classy and upscale. The dashboard design is starting to look a little dated, but the interior is packed full of top class materials and fit and finish is second to none.
The interior is quite practical, too, with room for five adults and a large boot, which can be extended by folding the rear seats flat.
There are three trim levels to choose from: SE, S Line, S Line Plus and SQ5. All models are well equipped, with alloy wheels, climate control, leather seat trim, Bluetooth connectivity and radio dab display on all models.
Our choice: Q5 2.0 TDI 177 SE
Styling
4
Audi Q5 does look a bit like a scaled-down version of the Q7. It is characterized by a large grille flanked with daytime running lights luxury around headlamp unit (this is optional on all but the top-spec S line models).
Entry-level model Audi Q5 SE get 18-inch alloy wheels as standard, while the S line and S line Plus is equipped with larger wheels and a more aggressive bumper and arches. SQ5 identified by its flagship 20-inch wheels, aluminum effect door mirror housing and distinctive quad exit exhaust.
Audi Q5 Interior build quality is great, with lots of high-quality materials and sleek, stylish design.
It still is not as stylish as the latest Audi A6, but the 2012 facelift brought a new dashboard inserts gloss, chrome trim plus tweaks to the steering shaft and instruments. However, low-set dashboard and the previous screen infotainment generation betrayed Q5 advanced years.
However, there is no possible complaints about the amount of standard kit, with all models getting three-zone climate control, Bluetooth phone connection, DAB radio and leather seat trim. Model S Line adds obscene bodykit, 18-inch alloys and xenon headlights, while the S Line Plus features sat-nav, parking sensors and a powered tailgate.
Driving
3.8
One thing you will notice with the Audi Q5 is that the trip is a bit firm, but well judged damping does not ensure that it handles bumps without major problems.
The 2.0-liter and 3.0-liter TDI engines both offer outstanding performance, and the benefits of the last of the seven-speed S tronic automatic transmission as standard Audi - it is an optional extra on the 2.0-liter in the standard six-speed unit.
For most buyers, the 2.0-liter TDI engine will offer the best blend of performance and economy. Entry-level 148bhp unit feels quite muscular, but the 175bhp version noticeably easier
There is also a 2.0-liter TFSI petrol smooth and punchy available with either 178bhp or 222bhp. It can not match the diesel version of the fuel, but it is more frugal than you would think, plus a high-powered models can be ordered with an eight-speed gearbox is very good.
This transmission is standard fit on SQ5 seed, which is equipped with a thunderous twin turbo 3.0-liter V6 diesel that packs 309bhp and 650 Nm of torque pounding. As a result, high-rise undermine Audi claimed 0-62mph sprint of 5.1 seconds.

However, while SQ5 fast, it lacks finesse. It's hard grip on smooth surfaces, but the suspension crushingly company causing the car to jump the line if it hits a bump mid corner. SQ5 also suffered a very uncomfortable ride.
Less powerful models provide a more balanced driving experience. Handling is surprisingly poised and agile for such a high-rise engine, while the low-speed ride company soften faster you go. Sporty S line models suffer from a stiff ride, but you can specify soft SE set-up at no additional cost. Alternatively, you can splash out £ 680 on adaptive dampers. As you would expect, a very good improvement on all models, with low levels of wind noise.
Audi Q5 is not really suitable for extreme off-road adventure, but it would be fine for some light off-roading, thanks to features such as hill descent control and traction control for slippery conditions. However, all versions get a brand quattro all-wheel drive transmission as standard, so you can be sure of tenacious traction in all weather.
Reliability
4.2
Audi is famous for its build quality is very good and this is reflected in our customer satisfaction survey in 2014, where the brand is finished in 12th place overall. And while the Q5 taking a little disappointing 44th place finish in the same poll, the owner was given it over to build quality. Audi also scored highly for practicality and car technology.
Audi Q5 received a full five star rating in the Euro NCAP crash safety tests. He received a score of 92 percent for adult occupant protection and 84 percent for child protection in part thanks to stability control and six airbags fitted as standard. Also included driver fatigue monitors and automatic lights and wipers.
There is also a choice of three, four, or five-year warranty to provide peace of mind further. You can also add blind spot monitoring and lane departure warning.
Practicality
3.8
Audi Q5 offers 540 liters of boot space, which expands to 1,560 liters with the rear seats folded. It's more than you'll get with the Volvo XC60 but right behind the BMW X3. It is a great shame that the sharp angle of the rear windscreen means to load bulky items can be a little sore.
There is a choice of sliding rear bench, though, that further enhances the practicality by moving back and forth 100mm each way. At the front, there are plenty of storage areas and cubby holes, and for a little more money you can even opt for a cup holder shivering cold drinks and heating up the heat.
Running Costs
4
We would definitely choose to model 2.0-liter TDI diesel because they are quite strong and Audi Q5s cheapest to buy and run. Entry-level 148bhp version return 47.9mpg fuel economy and emits 154g / km of CO2. Surprisingly, the figures for the more powerful 175bhp version is exactly the same. Engine 3.0-liter TDI diesel, meanwhile, manages 44.1mpg and emits 169g / km of CO2.
Despite his towering performance potential, SQ5 is almost as efficient 3.0-liter TDI. Audi claims it will return 41.5mpg on the pump and emits 179g / km of CO2.
In terms of other costs, Audi offers a variety of services offers a fixed price, which will help to maintain the minimum bill. Like most of Audi's model line-up, the benefits of residue Q5 strong, with our experts predict will retain at least 50 percent of the new value after three years.

Audi TT

2016 Audi TT Coupe The new TT looks past to move forward.

Review

When the Audi TT was conceived in the mid-1990s, it knew it was a game-changer in his hand. Small coupe segment came to an almost empty and it served as a statement of Audi's commitment to design and precision engineering. PQ34 platform descent VW Golf IV, TT is formed by a number of high-profile designers, including Freeman Thomas, Romulus Rost, Claus Potthoff, Marc Florian, and others. Peter Schreyer joined Audi at the end of the project. Machine head Ulrich Hackenberg, now back Ingolstadt after serving as the head of R & D people at VW, pushed through with the support of Ferdinand Piëch. Mind blowing concept in the 1995 Frankfurt auto show. Like no other car, he founded the Audi mandate in the world of design.
The second -generasi TT, launched in calendar year 2006 is a vehicle that is better in many ways, but do not have the original style without compromise. Now Audi tries to recapture the original spirit of the third generation, which was launched in Europe now. The new TT about a year of arriving in the US

While the least powerful engine in the European version is the 184-hp 2.0-liter TDI, US customers will see at least 220 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of twist from the standard EA888 2.0-liter turbo petrol. Although relatively modest power rating, TT costs ahead with vigor, in part thanks to heavy curb near-3000-pound her. The second generation TT tip the scales about 200 pounds lighter than the first-gen version, and now the third-gen TT has dieted hard to lose 90. The other ran from zero to 62 mph takes about 5.3 seconds according to Audi, while the speed The highest was 155 mph full. The only transmission available for the US version will be a dual-clutch six-speed automatic, and Quattro all-wheel drive will be standard.

While the TT was fast, there was a bit of turbo lag, although it is effectively covered by the quick action of the dual-clutch gearbox. Push the gas pedal is sensitive and Audi sizzling and whooshes forward rush. TT transformed into a vibrant corner with very little understeer, and Sport settings stability control system allows for considerable shift angle before the intervention. Electrically driven power steering precise and well weighted awesome; it was one of the best we've ever driven.
There is no hiding the fact that TT had more bone-mas car market, however. Seating position slightly higher than, say, a Porsche Cayman or BMW Z4. But while this may detract from the feeling of extreme sports car, helping visibility. But make no mistake, there is no confusing TT to A3 from the inside, as the interior, in the spirit of the first TT, is a design showcase. Audi has been simplified and decluttered dashboard, eliminating the central display in the process. All information, including map navigation, are now directly in front of the driver, the ultra high quality TFT screen that makes almost every other screen in the car obsolete. One trick saw large map dismiss digital tach and speedometer to the outer corner of the screen.

HVAC control, heated seats and controls, which are hidden in five air vents. And the MMI infotainment system, which now features a brand touch-pad interface, can also be operated from the steering wheel. Ultra-clean interior looks futuristic and free from distractions. Co-drivers may complain about the lack of screen center, but this is a sports car, right? As for the rear accommodation, we recommend only the seats folded down for extra cargo space; for adults, the rear compartment tightness is coercion. (Not that Audi promises a lot. It says the rear seats are not recommended for anyone over four feet, nine inches.)
Audi TT will come to the US in mid-2015 as 2016 models; we estimate that the base price will be in the north of $ 40,000. With an emphasis on innovative design roots back to the TT, Audi is looking to the pitch the game-changer again.

This changed with the third generation models that use parts made entirely by the Hungarian plant.

For each of the two generations, the TT has been available as a 2 + 2 Coupé and as a two-seater roadster employing successive generations of the Volkswagen Group A platform, starting with the A4 (PQ34). As a result of platform-sharing, the Audi TT has identical powertrain and suspension layouts as related platform-mates; including a front-mounted transversely orientated engine, front-wheel drive or quattro four-wheel drive system, and fully independent front suspension using MacPherson struts.

Facelift Audi TT 1.8 T coupe, Australia

Production model (internal designation Typ 8N) was launched as a Coupé in September 1998, followed by the Roadster in August 1999. It is based on the Volkswagen Group A4 (PQ34) platform used for the Volkswagen Golf Mk4, the original Audi A3, the Skoda Octavia , etc. Styling differ slightly from the concept, except
slightly reprofiled bumpers, and the addition of quarterlight rear window behind the door. Factory production began in October 1998.

Initial TT models gained press coverage for a series of high-speed accidents in Europe. Reported crashes and related deaths occur at speeds over 180 kilometers per hour (110 mph), during sudden lane changes or sharp turns. Both the Coupé and Roadster models are given at the end of 1999 / early 2000, to increase the predictability of car handling at very high speeds. Audi's Electronic Stability Program, and rear spoiler were added, along with suspension modifications. All changes are then incorporated into future series production version of the car.

The original generation Audi TT was nominated for the North American Car of the Year award for 2000. It was also in Car and Driver magazine's Ten Best list in 2000 and 2001.

Factory production of this generation (2000-2006) ended in June 2006.

Post-facelift entry-level interior

Mechanically, the TT share identical powertrain layout with related -mates Volkswagen Group platform. TT use a transversely mounted internal combustion engine, with either front-wheel drive or 'quattro' on-demand four-wheel drive. It was first available with a 1.8-liter inline four-cylinder 20-valve turbocharged engine in two states of DIN-rated output power; 180 PS (132 kW; 178 hp) and 225 PS (165 kW; 222 hp). Machines share the same basic design, but the 225 PS version has a larger K04 turbocharger, an additional intercooler on the left side (complement existing right side intercooler), forged connecting rods, a dual exhaust muffler, and some other internal - designed to accommodate an increase in turbo boost., from about 10 pounds per square inch (0.7 bar) peak, 15 pounds per square inch (1.0 bar) Haldex Traction four-wheel drive is activated, 'labeled' as "quattro" is optional on the 180 engine, and standard on the more powerful version 225.

The range of the original four-cylinder engine equipped with a 250 PS (184 kW; 247 hp) 3.2-liter VR6 engine in early 2003, which comes as standard with the system quattro four-wheel-drive. In July 2003, a new six-speed dual clutch transmission - dubbed the Direct-Shift Gearbox, which improves acceleration through a much reduced time shift, offered, along with a stiffer suspension.

TT quattro Sport

In 2005, Audi released a limited edition of only Coupé (800 sold in the UK, instead of 1000 originally planned) Audi TT quattro Sport (known as the Audi TT Club Sport in Europe). Built by high performance AUDI AG pediatrician quattro GmbH, has increased power of the 1.8-liter turbocharged engine - rose to 240 PS (177 kW; 237 hp) and 320 newton meters (236 lbf • ft) of torque - and 75 kilograms weight (165 lb) to 1,390 kilograms (3064 pounds), [12] which allows for a 0 to 100 kilometers per hour (0.0 to 62.1 mph) time of 5.9 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 250 kilometers per hour (155.3 mph).

Weight loss is achieved by removing the spare wheel, rear counterweight, rear parcel shelf and rear seats, and a standard AC fitment. The main battery is also moved to the rear of the vehicle to keep the weight distribution as much as possible. Keep coming back lighter Recaro bucket seats adorn the interior. Other distinguished by TT coupe by the two-tone paint scheme (Phantom Black Pearl painted roof, pillars and a house of mirrors, in combination with either Avus Silver, Phantom Black, Blue Mauritius or Misano Red body color) and unique 18 "15-spoke cast aluminum wheels, body kit plus the same as fitted in the TT 3.2 V6, TT quattro Sport also features a black exhaust tailpipes and uprated suspension settings and new wheel, ½ "wider at the rear to improve handling. The brochure states brake-spec V6 that should be installed, but the model is delivered in the UK comes with 225 standard spec brake calipers painted red.

At the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, Audi presented the new 2014 Audi TT Quattro Sport Concept. It is powered by a 2.0-liter TFSI four-cylinder engine that can produce 420 horsepower and 331 lb.-ft. of torque. Using Quattro AWD system and the Audi S tronic dual-clutch transmission.

There are two US class-action lawsuit affecting specific model year of the first-generation TT.
On June 22, 2007, Pearson, Simon, Soter, Warshaw & Penny, LLP and the Law Office of Robert L. Starr filed a class action lawsuit against Volkswagen Group of America, stated that the timing belt for model years 1999 to 2003 Audi and Volkswagen vehicles equipped with a 1.8-liter turbocharged engine fail prematurely. Vehicles included are the Audi TT, Audi A4 and Volkswagen Passat. The complaint alleges that the timing belt fails before the service interval, as stated in the owner's manual. The parties have reached a settlement of a class-wide, and given preliminary approval of the settlement by the court on May 19, 2008.

On May 22, 2008, US District Court, Northern District of California, ordered to preliminarily approve the national settlement of a class action lawsuit brought by Green Welling LLP, on behalf of all current and previous owners and tenants from 2000 to 2004, and 2005 model year Audi TT , The lawsuit and settlement related to allegedly defective instrument cluster, and the owner of the Audi TT is entitled to make a claim for repair, replacement and / or reimbursement of cash for out-of-pocket expenses, and all owners of TT is covered by a coat will receive two-year extension of the existing their four-year warranty (limited to the instrument cluster).

Audi TT Coupé, rear view

In August 2004, Audi announced that the next-generation TT will be made of aluminum, and will go into production in 2007. [16] A preview of the second generation is given in the form of the Audi TT Shooting Brake concept car, shown at the Tokyo Motor Show in 2005 . This concept is new TT insight, but the styling features of the corner, and "shooting brake" two-door hatchback body styles. Audi revealed the second generation TT, internal designation Typ 8J, on April 6, 2006. It is built on A5 (PQ35) platform Volkswagen Group, and the use of aluminum in the front bodypanels, and steel in the rear, to increase its near- weight distribution front -to-back neutral. It is available in front-wheel drive or 'quattro' four-wheel drive layout, and again offered as a 2 + 2 Coupé, and as a two-seater Roadster. Compared with the previous generation, this new variant is five inches long and three inches wider than its predecessor. Factory production began in August 2006.

8J powertrain

The powertrain options include initially only petrol engine, which consists of one of the two inline four-cylinder engine - the all-new 1.8-liter EA888 Turbocharged Fuel Stratified Injection (TFSI) (available initially only in Germany, then in another place from mid-2009) , or the more common and established EA113-variant 2.0-liter TFSI. The Fuel Stratified Injection (FSI) technology is derived from the Audi Le Mans car endurance race, and offer fuel efficiency and increased power output and cleaner emissions. The 3.2-liter 'V6' badged VR6 engine is carried over from the previous generation, and this machine is also available in the Canadian model. 2.0 TFSI quattro models, with the latest EA888 engine, became available in 2009 model year.
A six-speed manual transmission is standard, with a six-speed Direct Shift Gearbox- (now called "S-TRONIC" on all Audi models) as an option for all engines. Quattro on-demand four-wheel drive, using the Haldex Traction clutch again available - standard on V6 models, but is not available in the 1.8 TFSI.

8J suspension and other features

Like all couples PQ35 platform, the new TT 8J now have a multi-link fully independent rear suspension to complement an independent front suspension. The whole suspension system can be upgraded with the new Audi active suspension, "Audi Magnetic Ride", is available as an option. It is based on the BWI Group's MagneRide, which uses magneto rheological dampers (this means that the electronic control unit for the automatic suspension will adjust its properties damping depending on current road conditions and driving by the way).

The new TT also features a revised rear spoiler; which automatically extends at speeds in excess of 120 kilometers per hour (75 mph) and retracts again below 80 kilometers per hour (50 mph). Spoiler can also be controlled manually by the driver via a button on the dashboard.

2.0 TDI quattro

Launched at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show, Audi offered the first diesel-powered version of the Audi TT in the European market, the Audi TT 2.0 TDI quattro. [23] [24] [25] As the name indicates, is only available with quattro, and is also available in Coupé and Roadster versions. Power comes from a new 2.0-liter turbocharged direct injection (TDI) engine, now with 16 valve, double overhead camshaft (DOHC), 1,800-bar (26 110 psi) common rail fuel delivery and eight-hole piezo fuel injection, which produces DIN -rated output of 125 kilowatts (170 PS; 168 bhp) at 4,200 revolutions per minute (rpm) and torque of 350 newton meters (258 lbf • ft) at 1,750 to 2,500 rpm. These include a six-speed manual transmission. Acceleration from rest to 100 kilometers per hour (62.1 mph) on the Coupé reached in 7.5 seconds, and it will go on to reach a top speed of 226 kilometers per hour (140.4 mph). The slightly less aerodynamically efficient Roadster reaches 100 km / h in 7.7 seconds, with a top speed of 223 kilometers per hour (138.6 mph).

Audi claims fuel consumption average for this variant of the Coupé 2.0 TDI engine is 5.3 liters per 100 kilometers (53.3 mpg -imp; 44.4 mpg-US), which reached the CO 2. Ranked emissions of 139 g / km The Roadster TDI achieved an average of 5.5 liters per 100 kilometers. (51.4 mpg -imp; 42.8 mpg-US) and CO 2 of 144 g / km
TTS

TTS Coupé

In 2008 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, Audi released the first Audi "S" models of the range TT - Audi TTS quattro ,. weighing revised 2.0 TFSI engine The cylinder block, cylinder head and fuel injection have all been modified from the base 2.0 TFSI (ID: CDL). Together with other modifications, this engine produces DIN-rated motive force output of 200 kilowatts (272 PS; 268 bhp), [26] and produce torque changing the strength of 350 newton meters (258 lbf • ft) from 2,500 to 5,000 rpm.

Under the hood with the engine TFSI TTS Roadster
It is available with a choice of either a six-speed close-ratio manual transmission, or 'six-speed S tronic' transmission. In the United States, the S tronic gearbox will be the only transmission available. Like all Audi "S" model, it is only available with quattro four-wheel drive as standard.

2. Audi Q7

2016 Audi Q7

Lightweight and lead the way for the entire VW Group.

• May 2015
• With Jens Meiners

• 246S 246S

Audi has had plenty of time to get this one right: the four rings brand engineering team began work on the second generation of the Q7 SUV as early as 2009. And even then, the original four-year-old. Shown first as a concept of Pikes Peak in January 2003, the production version bowed in 2005.
There are legitimate reasons why it took Audi six years to get a replacement market. During that period, Audi development chief switch twice, and in both cases the car was completely re-examined. In addition, the new 2016 Audi Q7 is a pilot vehicle for MLB second generation architecture, which is very important for the VW Group-serves as the foundation for many future models of Audi, VW, Bentley and Porsche. "The new Q7 need to make a clean production launch," said R & D chief Ulrich Hackenberg. And there is another explanation: With more than 500,000 units sold worldwide, the previous model has been so successful that the Audi no big rush to replace it.

Big Weight Savings, Still Just Plain Big
Given the success of the second generation Q7 does not need to convey a false sense of decency, and no. The new version is one of the SUV more aggressive look on the road. On paper, it's a little smaller than previous models-and in fact, it has lost several inches. But it was more than offset by the luxurious new grille and fender-shaped box, which should offend legendary Audi Quattro coupe. Silver decorative trim on the sides of the lower failed to cut off part of the visual, and, as before, Q7 looks best with an optional extralarge 20- or 21-inch wheels.

Judging from appearances, it is difficult to believe that more than 700 pounds has been cut-per-Audi Q7 in the transition from the old to the new. Whatever the real world weight loss works out to be, sveltening is the result of a change of the off-road platform centric previous models for one along with actual passenger cars. Axle just said shaved a whopping 148 pounds, and make liberal use of aluminum body. You can read more about weight-saving measures here.

Q7 light more efficiently, and drinking habits which have become much more socially acceptable. The US market gets a 3.0-liter TDI with 272 horsepower, and the 3.0-liter supercharged V-6 with 333 horsepower. Both engines have their strong points. After diesel has moved beyond the initial turbo lag and up to 1,500 rpm or higher, it rose a massive, wave 443-lb-ft of torque. However ZF-sourced eight-speed automatic helps reduce any dawdling low-end with his adept gear selection. Soundtrack diesel is muted, and it gives strength to the quiet growl. Zero to 60 mph appears in about six seconds, and the European model tops out at 145 mph. The images on the achievement of something like 32 mpg on the highway, too.

Fuel consumption is a major weakness of the supercharged V-6; we seek it will manage the EPA numbers of possible 18 in the city and 27 mpg highway. The figures work well for the US, though, where the economy is actually not so bad and gas is much cheaper than in Europe. Gasoline V-6 offers a lightning-fast response over a far wider rev band than diesel. With this engine, the Q7 invites its driver to hustle windy road nearby. Truly.

Yes, the new Q7 like curves. Our test sample is equipped with adaptive air suspension, and we can confirm that it is not only convenient, but also that it can provide a clear sporty driving character. Soft and comfortable in Efficiency, Comfort, and Auto mode, it shows the fun side in Dynamic mode clearly delineated. And Q7 will be better with an optional system of four-wheel-steering, which improve stability at highway speeds while reducing the turning circle in the city. All-wheel drive is standard; default torque split biased slightly behind in 40:60, but can shift as much as 70 percent at 85 percent to the front or rear. Two off-road mode helps Q7 far beyond the lines, and ground clearance can be increased to 9.6 inches. There is no low-range transfer case, however.

Elegant and Stylish Interior Audi-Imagine That
From the driver's seat, Q7 emerged as a leader of design. The interior is very contemporary, functional, and aesthetic that might set a new class benchmark. We love the design and feel of the TFT instrument cluster, which corresponds to similar systems in the new TT and R8, especially since it was coupled with the traditional display in the dashboard. The user interface is intuitive and fast, despite the cluster display provides so much information and functionality, it is hard not to worry about it being a bit of a nuisance. The driver and passengers enjoy plenty of comfort and space, and even an optional third-row seat that is wide enough, although the entry and exit to wayback is a hassle. Incidentally, the Q7 is so quiet that the stereo system really shines. We found the Bose sound package is more than enough, enough so that we would have missed a lot more expensive Bang & Olufsen system.

Q7 is equipped with a number of electronic nanny, sensors, and technology, which can be interpreted as a major step toward autonomous driving. They include brake-based torque vectoring; Traffic Jam Assist, which can essentially move the Q7 on the highway at speeds up to 40 mph; trailering assistant who will back up and steer the trailer for you; and the latest version of things like lane departure warning and assist, blind-spot monitoring, automatic braking, and adaptive cruise control. Furthermore, the Audi Q7 say soon will add the ability to steer around obstacles on the road and brakes the car if you make a left turn which will generate a collision with traffic. (Volvo will also offer the latest technology on the new XC90.) There is also an assistant efficiency that keeps telling you to drive with a lighter right foot. We rarely meet his wishes.

While the Q7 has taken a big step forward, things will be very crowded at the top of the SUV segment, with entries coming from Bentley, Rolls-Royce, and even Mercedes-Maybach. To stay in a very lucrative game-and to maintain the previous owner V-8 and V-12 Audi TDI versions will launch a gasoline engine TDI turbo V-8, V-8, and perhaps even W-12 gasoline turbo engine. Before that, however, we will look at the model of the e-tron plug-in hybrid. (Audi has yet to decide whether to bring Americans before detailed 3.0 V-6 diesel e-tron, a 2.0-liter turbo four is scheduled for our market sometime in 2016.) The 3.0 TDI and 3.0 TFSI will come to the US later in 2015 as a model in 2016, with prices starting around $ 50K.

After this initial trip, it seems like a long gestation Q7 is the time spent and well-worth waiting SUV.

Summary
Q7 (internally designated Typ 4L) uses a modified version of the Volkswagen Group PL71 platform. First by the Audi Pikes Peak quattro concept car, the Q7 is designed more for on-road, and is not intended for serious off-road use where the transfer case is required. In an off road test through the Australian outback it fared well for a "soft roader", [citation needed ]. [6] Although it does not have a low-range transfer case, it has quattro permanent four-wheel drive system with locking center differential, and self-leveling air suspension with Continuous Damping Control, called the adaptive air suspension, which is helpful in off-road situations. Construction began in 2002 under the code AU 716, mainly focused on Pikes Peak Concept. Design work is suspended for the concept in July 2002, for presentation at the North American International Auto Show in January 2003. After the introduction of the concept, full-scale development began in Typ 4L of PL71 platform. Production design frozen in late 2003, for a late 2005 start of production. Prototypes went into testing in December 2004, with a cover construction in mid-2005.

[37] [38] The Q7 features up to four Nvidia Tegra processor. [39]
• Efficiency Prediction Assistant using route data from the navigation system to alert the driver situation where it would make sense to reduce the speed, such as before the curve, city or speed limit signs are not yet visible. Working closely with the adaptive cruise control (ACC) and traffic sign recognition, the system adjusts the speed of the previously selected route and speed limits. Assistant predictive efficiency, which can also take over control predictive of the free-wheeling function of the eight-speed tiptronic, has the potential to reduce fuel consumption on the highway as much as ten percent.
• Turn Assistant oppose monitor traffic when turning left at a low speed. In critical situations, the car brakes.
• Exit Warning System shows the vehicle or cyclist approaching from behind before the doors opened.
New features for Audi
• Avoidance Assistant intervene in the steering wheel to help the driver avoid obstacles.
• Adaptive cruise control ACC stop & go now including congestion assistant, who took over the helm at the highway ahead if traffic was heavy and did not move faster than 65 km / h (40.4 mph).
• multicollision brake assist system uses controlled braking maneuver for the accident to help the driver.
• Modular Infotainment Matrix (MIB) with NVIDIA T30 processor
• MMI all-in-touch
• Audi tablet with Tegra 4 processor [39]
• All-wheel steering
New features for Q7
• Q7 e-tron plug-in hybrid [40]
• State of the art digital LED Matrix controlled adaptive Highbeam non-glare multi-LED headlights. The Highbeam comprises 25 individual light-emitting diodes per unit that can be turned on and off or dimmed individually depending on the situation. This enables very precise light system reacts to other vehicles while always brightly illuminate the road. Additional features of the new lights is a smart cornering light, the new-look daytime running lights and turn signal dynamic. The lighting system uses predictive route data from the navigation system to regulate the distribution of light in response to the current driving situation. In combination with the optional Navigation plus with MMI touch, the system recognizes the data contained in the navigation system, such as curves and the classification of the road.
• cross-traffic help
• Assistant Trailer
• helping hand
• Multi-collision brake
• push select driving dynamics system
• Night Vision Assistant, which uses passive infrared camera to detect pedestrians and larger wild animals at a distance in the dark appropriate warning and issues.
• active lane assist uses a camera and a small steering intervention to help the driver to stay in lane.
• Definition of pre-launch preventive protection measures for residents in countries stable driving, such as tightening the front seat belts. Pre-guided radar to warn of impending sense of future rear-end collisions with the vehicle in front, belt tension and independent car brakes, if necessary. It is not either of these things in several stages.

With many technologies, engaging driving dynamics, and handsome interior, the A6 is one of our favorite cars of times. Base engine is a 252-hp 2.0-liter turbo four with front-wheel drive and seven-speed dual-clutch automatic; all-wheel drive is optional. A 333-hp supercharged 3.0-liter V-6 and 3.0-liter diesel V-6 good for 240 hp is available with all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic. A6 do almost everything well, whether you are carving a corner or highway cruising. First Drive Review - 2016 Audi A6

When we first saw the pictures face-lifted 2016 Audi A6, we were immediately thrilled. One of the more conservative brand design appears to have received a lukewarm makeover for styling has been used since the current generation arrived as a 2012 model Yes, flowing lines A6 is popular with customers, but to our eyes they always lacked tension, falling just short of the standard Audi. There is a bit of elegance in the details; LED lights are a bit rough, overbite of the rear lights truly bizarre.
Audi has cleared these details, adding rectangular exhaust outlets, and leave the rest alone. Now after seeing the revised car in person, we were pleasantly surprised. Inner lamps smooth handsome, lower front air intakes look better resolved, and neatly integrated rear lights. Audi has also added some new, more attractive wheel styles. Without touching the sheetmetal, the designers create a more elegant shape somewhat stale. More importantly, the update is in the middle of this semester, improving one of our favorite sedans (has notched three 10Best appearance comparison test and the last two victories) significantly.

Our first drive in Germany showed that, dynamic, A6 remains much as it was, finely chiseled road machines that can reward the driver in the back lane favorite or take the company out for a night on the town in style and comfort. It is a powertrain upgrade that enhances the car game to match the appearance of the rack.

Hotter Cooking With Gas

As before, the A6 will offer three engine options in the United States: 2.0-liter four-banger turbo, 3.0-liter V-6 TDI and 3.0-liter supercharged V-6. TDI, was introduced to this market for 2014, is the only one that carries over unchanged; 240-hp oil burner continues to encourage all the wheels through an eight-speed, torque-converter-style automatic. TDI is stocky with strong 428 pounds-feet of torque is the powertrain of choice for those who want to enjoy the efficiency hybridlike without the extra weight and complexity. (An A6 hybrid, never exported to the United States, just killed because sales were very poor.)

Entry-level 2.0-liter model receives major hardware upgrades. Previous rated at 220 horsepower and was initially made available as a front-driver course, it comes with a CVT, dubbed "Multitronic." Now, it gets a boost to 252 horsepower and the addition of an automatic transmission seven-speed dual-clutch for front-drive models. We wholeheartedly commend this step; we will take a sharp shift from the 'dual-clutch box or even right over the effects of the CVT automatic rubber-band every day. Advantages of electricity also benefits buyers who choose the option Quattro all-wheel-drive, in this case the stake 2.0T to an eight-speed automatic because since Audi added to the range in 2012.

While four now offers enough power for most settings racetrack side, the smooth 3.0-liter V-6 is more fun. This powerplant gains 20 horsepower and is now up to 330. It makes all the wheels and employ the same eight-speed automatic as TDI. Superchargers provide instant boost but so quiet that its presence is almost undetectable, except to generate thrust it all out of proportion to what you would expect. We think that Jaguar, one of several other car makers who still swear by the supercharger-might want to take a lesson from the book Audi quality, comfort, and voice control.

First-Class Accommodations

Even Jaguar-in addition to the other car would be advised to check out the A6's interior. It is still one of the best and most executed cabin in the industry. The similarity to the A7 dashboard (with which it shares a majority portion) cleverly covered by a different decoration. We only have one significant complaint with the interior of this: The awkward integration of dashboard-up system optional head-up looks terrible. We believe that the lump tumorlike will be corrected for future model generations, but it must be done right the first time.

While we are at it, perhaps we asked Audi to have up to another mistake? Please bring back America to the Avant wagon models. Especially RS6 Avant, intermediate wagon with 560 horsepower and a top speed of 190 mph-. Audi has already sent us drivetrain in the RS7, so let no parts-supply or federalization of reasons. Do it. Meanwhile, good job on the base sedan. It is time.
